With Thanksgiving here, Christmas, and then the New Year, I thought I would share what I am thankful for. The older we get, the more we reflect about friends, family, life in general, and the future.
I am thankful for you reading this; it means you are interested in what we have going on with the Geary Girls Ranch and our mission to help teenage girls. I am thankful for the tremendous turnout and show of support that we had at our November kick-off event. I am thankful for the words of encouragement I have received in this venture. I am thankful for friends and family that believe in us and what we are trying to do in creating the Geary Girls Ranch. I am thankful for my team of women who are giving their hearts and their time for this dream that will become a reality.
I am thankful that I am one of the small percentage of foster kids that have achieved a successful life. I am thankful for my husband of 40 years, my two sons and my precious grandkids. I am thankful to Joe and Charlotte Geary who provided good foster care for me and my siblings. I am thankful for the wonderful community that I live in here at Lake Kiowa.
I am thankful that God has been taking care of me for a long time. I am thankful that he continues to give me confidence that this dream I have will become a reality. I am thankful for remaining optimistic in this season of giving that the Geary Girls Ranch will receive many blessings as well.
